In addition to our clinical services, Southwest Family has a training institute offering a variety of educational opportunities. The Institute was created by Dr. Craig Pierce in 2004. Today it is offering educational programs not only to the professional sector such as therapists and counselors, but is also designing new “Leadership & Motivational” training events for young adults and families. This is a family and young adult leadership institute. The
programs include: Trainings:
• Board approved CEU courses
• Statewide seminars by our staff and other well known experts
• Internships for M.A./ Ph.D. students drawing from four New Mexico
Universities
Events:
• Motivational Events for developing effective families
• Leadership Programs for coaching adolescents and young adults into
being highly effective adults • "Visioning Workshop" for young adults in creating the life they envision for themselves
